It really is horrible, but there's something about it that just makes you want to keep reading. I guess I've got to give SM credit for that at least. But yeah, Bella and Edward are terrible.Lisa Galekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02438927319122874125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-379086392472006069.post-22618547169303571952010-11-22T17:16:06.475-06:002010-11-22T17:16:06.475-06:00What you are describing, then, is a terribled flaw...What you are describing, then, is a terribled flawed book. Borges said that a novel requires every character being drawn well and believably and an author who believes strongly in all of them. A single poorly drawn character contaminates the entire work. If the author doesn't realize which of his or her characters are the most interesting, there's a problem.David A. The rest of the Cullens ...I have to agree with you. The rest of the Cullens - basically meaning everyone besides Edward - are actually good characters. I would have loved to see a story about them rather than a predictable romance. I particularly love Alice and Jasper. I think their story would have been extremely interesting (as long as it was written by someone other than Stephanie Meyer).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
